If Jesus is God, and God is love, why are those who follow Him so unloving?
A fair question to ask. Jesus said “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.” In other words, He doesn’t give us phony peace. The peace of the world is established by distrust. Countries maintain peace by military force. People act like they have peace: smiling in your face, while talking behind your back. Jesus claims to leave real and lasting peace for His followers. So, how can there be so mush discord, bad vibes, ill will, amongst those who say they believe in One Who came to bring us peace?
As He was preparing to die, Jesus appealed for oneness amongst His disciples. Not because it would keep them safe. Not because it would make them better people. The appeal to oneness went beyond that.
We have a journey to travel, brother and sisters. And to make it, oneness is a most important thing. Travel with us!

Why is oneness so important? Why should oneness be pursued? Why does the Lord pray for us to be one, before going to His death?
I endeavor to answer those questions in this sermon and would love to know your thoughts.
