Flawless: made so by the Blood of Christ. That is what it means to be Christian…the illusion of being flawless. It means becoming part of a special group of people who were chosen by God’s predetermined will, and being certain that there’s nothing you can do to lose your salvation.
Isn’t that a bit troubling? I mean: if this is true then being flawed would make us beyond saving grace. And so we are forced to make ourselves appear to have no flaws. To “wake up like this,” we sleep with our masks on so that we don’t have to fix our faces.
